Focused on the evaluation of the social accountability component, the project was implemented under the Protection of Basic Services, piloted in selected regions and districts of Ethiopia.
Based on findings and lessons learned, we were awarded an extension contract to further design a scaled-up Social Accountability Programme for the Protection of Basic Public Services.
Our team reviewed tools, approaches and mechanisms, developed and used during the pilot process; determined if they can be replicated under the planned PBS-II Social Accountability Component; gathered data through focus group surveys, KIIs, household surveys and technical observation in the pilot areas; conducted triangulation of data to determine the outputs, outcomes and impact of the pilot project on the delivery and performance of public services.
