Aimed at filling the critical gaps in the health sector, Systems Approach for MNCH focusing on Vulnerable Geographies (SAMVEG), a follow up on USAID’s flagship project Vriddhi, encourages innovations, scale-up & sustenance of interventions to improve Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (MNCH) outcomes in identified vulnerable geographies of India. Implemented by a consortium of IPE Global, JSI, Dimagi and World Health partners, the project focuses on the three states: Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh.
As a project partner, we are supporting, monitoring, and addressing the bottlenecks for MNCH delivery. We are also enhancing the capacity of state and districts, public and private sector stakeholders to provide quality MNCH services.
Key Outcomes
- 3.5 million+ pregnant mothers and 3.1 million+ infants expected to be given equitable access to MNCH services
- 13 million+ children (under the age of 5) expected to benefit from the scale- up of MNCH good practices.
- Enhanced capacity building for public and private sector stakeholders
