Aimed at improving school education, the Strengthening Teacher-Learning and Results for States (STARS) project seeks to support the state in developing, implementing, evaluating, and improving interventions with direct linkages for improved education outcomes and school-to-work transition strategies. At the state level, the project envisages:
i) Strengthening early childhood education and foundation learning
ii) Improving learning assessment systems
iii) Strengthening classroom instruction and remediation through teacher development and school leadership
iv) Ensuring governance and decentralised management for improved service delivery
v) Strengthening vocational education in schools by mainstreaming career guidance, counselling, internships, and coverage of out-of-school children
As Project Management Unit for the World Bank-funded STARS project, we are providing technical and managerial services for improving the status of education in Himachal Pradesh. By supporting the state government, we are working on enhancing educational outcomes and other indicators through various activities.
