Aimed at improving short term skill training qualitatively and quantitatively by strengthening institutions, Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP), brings in better market connectivity and inclusion of marginalised sections of the society.
Commissioned by Puducherry Skill Development Society (PSDS), we are providing technical assistance under the project for strengthening institutional mechanisms, providing access to skill training opportunities to the marginalised sections, building a pool of quality trainers & assessors, creating convergence among all skill training activities, establishing a robust monitoring & evaluation system for skill training programmes etc. The engagement would focus on assisting the Government of Puducherry in identifying challenges and providing support to strengthen the planning and effective implementation of skills development programmes in the Union Territory.
Key Outcomes
- 200+ candidates participated in Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela in Mettupalayam & Netapakkam
- 2,000 + students participated in ITI Awareness Sessions
- 50+ stakeholders joined the workshops on quality skilling
- 4.5 million+ given access to skill training, of which were 50% women
