The project was designed as a regional programme, supporting governments, regional institutions, cities, vulnerable communities and the private sector across the Indo-Pacific to increase the resilience of economies and vulnerable communities to climate change; improve the health of natural ecosystems; and promote low carbon growth and development in the region.
IPE Global is undertaking the project’s independent Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. IPE has been tasked with continuous and systematic monitoring, gathering evidence and insights to analyse the effectiveness of CARA strategies and facilitating coordinated action among all six thematic components of CARA. Through the monitoring and evaluation process, IPE will help ensure that CARA successfully supports regional governments and institutions in their efforts better to prepare their economies and communities for global climatic change.
