UKIERI: Conducting a market-insight study of the bilateral opportunities in the UK and India for higher education and research

The UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI), started in April 2006, aimed to enhance educational linkages between India and the UK. Since then, UKIERI has been recognised as a critical multi-stakeholder programme that has strengthened the two countries’ research, leadership, education, and skill sector relations. The key objective of this study is to advise and inform the UK and Indian governments and education sectors on the respective operating environments for higher education and research. The horizon scan should be for the next ten years and result in a study that can support decision-makers in finding productive areas for collaboration between India and the UK.
