AMRUT 2.0 (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) is a flagship mission of the Government of India aimed at making all statutory towns ‘water-secure’. The mission focuses on providing universal water supply, sewerage management, rejuvenating water bodies, and promoting circular economy of water.
Under this mission, IPE Global is supporting the Government of Karnataka as the Project Development and Management Consultant (PDMC) for comprehensive planning, engineering design, procurement assistance, construction supervision, monitoring, and management of urban water supply, waterbody rejuvenation, and green spaces projects in more than 200 urban local bodies across Karnataka.
As part of our ongoing support, the PDMC team conducted a training programme for 50 newly recruited Assistant Engineers and 6 Junior Engineers of the Karnataka Urban Water Supply & Drainage Board (KUWS&DB).
Our team of experts delivered technical sessions on water supply systems design, hydraulic modelling, and GIS applications. These sessions were led by our Head Team Leader, Mr. Santosh Patil, supported by Mr. Arun (Hydraulic Design Engineer) and Ms. Deepika (GIS Expert). They shared their extensive technical knowledge and practical insights from work experience, including project experiences on the AMRUT 2.0 mission, and offered their learnings to guide the trainees and support their professional development.
