The Reading for Ethiopia’s Achievement Developed (READ) project aimed to improve reading skills for 15 million primary school children in Ethiopia. The American Institutes for Research (AIR) approached IPE Global to organize an exposure visit for Ethiopian Ministry of Education (MoE) delegates to India. The visit aimed to provide insights into India’s education sector, including pre-primary and primary education, teacher training, mid-day meals, textbook development, learning assessments, Conditional Cash Transfers, RMSA-TCA, the Right to Education Act, English language transition, and special needs education. IPE Global facilitated the visit for MoE, USAID, and AIR to observe best practices and interact with Indian education officials and civil society organizations.

Ricardo is a seasoned international development professional with over 30 years of experience designing and delivering Private Sector Development and economic growth initiatives across more than 50 countries spanning Central, Eastern and Southeast Europe, the CIS, Africa, MEDA, and Asia. He holds both a bachelor’s degree and PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
