Bihar Tourism is developing Nalanda, Rajgir, Gaya and Bodhgaya – part of the state’s Golden Circuit – into
world-class destinations. With plans for premium accommodations, engaging tourism products, improved
connectivity, and enhanced visitor amenities, these projects aim to showcase the region’s rich history, spiritual ambience, culture, and natural heritage, positioning it as a leading international tourism hub.
Our Work
- Identified strategic parameters for 50+ tourism assets across 4 destinations for assessing the current status, tourism potential, and infrastructure gap analysis.
- Assessed key heritage assets, including 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Central ASI Monuments, & major State-protected Monuments.
- Conducted 100+ stakeholder consultations & 100+ Tourist Surveys. Utilisation of app-based survey platforms to collect, analyse, and quantify user feedback for data-driven insights.
- Supported the Bihar Government in Developing Strategy Plans outlining key tourism projects, investment needs, and sustainable implementation mechanisms.
Outcome
- 2000 Cr+ Projects: Bankable circuit-based projects proposed across all four destinations
- Projected Increase in Tourist Footfall 2030: International tourist arrivals to 2.51 lakh, domestic arrivals to 40 lakhs
- Increased average length of stay from 1-2 days to 3-4 days
- Projected Employment Generation: Direct employment generatio of 3,40,000 people & indirect employment generation of 6,50,000 people
