SAMRIDH combines commercial capital with public and philanthropic funds to overcome barriers to private investment in market-driven health solutions, thereby expanding access to affordable and high-quality healthcare for vulnerable populations.
The initiative mobilised a capital pool of $300 million to offer grant and debt financing provisions to healthcare enterprises and innovators, to augment the production and supply of high-impact health solutions for COVID-19. This was complemented by strong technical assistance and business advisory components, enabling enterprises to make process and product improvements, navigate policy regimes, and develop sustainability strategies for long-term impact.
