COVID-19 awareness activities for the vulnerable

COVID-19 Awareness activities for the general people, labour in the project works, migrant labourers and people living in the slums under the public awareness campaign to prevent the corona pandemic.

  1. With the help of contractor, medical department, district administration arrangement of shades, water for migrants for 45 days in Sadhuwali, near to Punjab border were made.
  2. From 21.6.2020 to 30.6.2020, as a campaign to protect the general public and the workers working in the project work from the corona pandemic, health checkup, Ayurvedic kaadha to increase immunity, masks, sanitisers and soap were distributed.
  3. In more than 10 Slum Areas of the city, after doing a focus group discussion, giving information about the prevention of corona pandemic, after examining them, ayurvedic decoction was distributed to increase immunity along with masks, sanitisers and soaps.
  4. According to the instructions received from the district administration on date 6.11.2020, about 2000 masks were distributed in the ward number 6 and 21 of the city, giving information about the precautions to be taken to protect the people from the corona.
  5. Audio announcement was made in all 65 wards of the city for the prevention of corona epidemic.
  6. During the lockdown, food items were distributed to the workers from outside the state working in the project work and after the lockdown opened, arrangements were made to go to their homes after taking permission from the district administration.
  7. Sanitisers, soaps and masks were distributed along with packets of Ayurvedic kaadha to increase immunity by conducting health check-up of all the workers working in the project work.
  8. Orientation programs were organised to educate the workers about the prevention of corona pandemic.
  9. The residence of the workers was disinfected from time to time.
  10. Arrangements were made for shade, water, mask and hand wash at the project work sites.
  11. Giving information about the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme to the workers working in the project work, they were motivated to get registered in it.
  12. The staff working in the project work, the workers and the people residing in the raw settlement were motivated for vaccination in the camp, organised with the help of district administration and medical department.
  13. The officers/employees working in the project work were given Ayurvedic Kaadha, and awareness for using masks, keeping a distance of two yards and wash hands frequently.
  14. Giving information about prevention of corona pandemic to the students of government schools, masks and soaps were distributed and painting competition was organised.
  15. Daily record of corona positive staff and workers was kept and they were assisted as per the need.
