Yoga is far more than just a physical routine for me; it is a profound journey of self-discovery that has transformed me into a calmer, wiser, and more grounded person. For a long time, I hesitated to begin yoga, feeling too consumed by the ad-hoc lifestyle I had, be it professional travel, un-planned days and family commitments.
A few years ago, with the encouragement from one of documentary I had seen on Yoga, I finally decided to step onto the mat, that was the turning point for me. While maintaining consistency amidst a busy lifestyle is a continuous learning curve, I am yet to master that, but the journey itself has been incredibly rewarding.
What yoga offers is a beautiful, life-altering shift that anyone can experience. It fundamentally changes our relationship with the world around us. By making us deeply aware of our breath and body, it teaches us to become highly selective about what we consume—not just in terms of diet, but in the thoughts, we harbour, the words we speak, and the relationships we cultivate. It does invite me to start my day with clarity, greeting the morning with a focused mind and a renewed sense of strength.
Further, in todays a modern corporate landscape where we are constantly pulled in a multiple directions and contexts, yoga has served as an indispensable anchor for me. It does provide me the clarity needed to filter out the noise, allowing me to even filter my choices and channelize my daily energy effectively. Whether navigating complex role at work, handling household responsibilities, or raising a toddler, we all need an inner sanctuary, and that’s what yoga does, builds life stamina to lead and live with composure.
