Global forums like DAVOS highlight a stark reality: geopolitical tensions and delayed international climate commitments are slowing critical climate action, with direct consequences for vulnerable regions
In this context, Abinash Mohanty, Head – Climate Change & Sustainability at IPE Global Limited, shared his insights on how these disruptions are impacting the Himalayas, including unseasonal snowfall, increased tourist pressure, and strained mountain infrastructure. He emphasised that fragmented climate action leaves mountain ecosystems exposed to immediate risks, from infrastructure stress to heightened disaster vulnerability.
