Given the current COVID scenario, a multi-dimensional “out of box” approach is the need of the hour. WIth regards to this, the team at IPE Global have looked up for alternatives to face-to-face data collection. The team had proposed to use virtual tools, including phone interviews, phone surveys and online surveys, among others. A similar approach was undertaken by the team while working on a project with UNICEF - BRIDGE IPC training programme evaluation.
Also, rather than doing Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with the beneficiaries, the team will be undertaking one-to-one interactions with the beneficiaries using a telephonic interview technique as stated above. Front line workers in the concerned localities will be assisting to provide the beneficiaries contact numbers and the prior appointment will be taken before conducting the interview.
