We are pleased to announce that a human interest story by Ashish Mukherjee, Vice President, Education & Skills development and Team led – OGIP has been published by Huffington Post – an internationally acclaimed , American online news aggregator and blog that has both localized and international editions.
It is the first commercially run United States digital media enterprise to win a Pulitzer Prize and with the largest online outreach and engagement in the industry.
The story is about a 14 year old boy, Jagdish, who was a daily wage worker hammering stones every day to earn money to support his family in a remote tribal village in Odisha. Through OGIP supported programme he has now returned to school and is continuing his education again.
