Help Break Perceptions
Gender inequality and skewed distribution of assets and power within family and workplace are both the cause and consequence of multiple forms of discrimination that women often face. If a woman is single then employers worry that she will get married and relocate. If married, they fear that she will have a child and go on maternity leave and as a mother, they are scared that her parental obligations may take precedence over work. Often these existing prejudices can have an adverse impact on the social and economic development of women. The initiative aims to bring to fore these prejudices that exist in the Corporate World/Formal workspaces even today and emphasises on the need to address these invisible barriers.
