Md Anwar Hossain Chowdhury has over 25 years of experience and brings with him an in-depth understanding and extensive experience of working in the domain of development sector financial management. He has advance level knowledge and experiences in providing strategic guidance and leadership for the implementation of large-scale projects for agricultural and Economic Empowerment of the poorest. Before joining IPE, he was the Deputy Team leader for the Economic Empowerment of the Poorest (EEP/Shiree) Programme of DFID and SDC. He had a long career with various international and national organisations as Programme Financial Controller. His association with operations, administration and management of aided programme increased his capacity in producing standard operating procedures for organizations, strategic plan of operations, adopting internal control in managing large fund. He also has proved a high level of trust and confidence to provide operational support to the implementing Team of donor aided programme, national and international NGOs in delivering the large projects. He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Secretary, holds a post graduate degree from Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Philippines, and a Master of Commerce from Dhaka University. He is the elected Council member of Institute of Chartered Secretary of Bangladesh.
